Eat Up Australia
Eat Up Australia was established in 2013 to provide school lunches to vulnerable school children. Volunteers make nutritious lunches using donated produce. So far over 850,000 lunches have been distributed to schools throughout Australia. The Blackwood Foundation supported Eat Up Australia to provide lunches to a school in Sydney. During COVID-19, the Eat Up Australia model was adapted to provide critical food relief with Emergency Food Boxes, distributed through schools. Eat Up Australia also supported other Not For Profit organisations with sandwiches for distribution.
In 2021 The Blackwood Foundation co-funded 29 regional NSW schools for one year to feed approximately 870 primary and high school students.
In 2024, the Foundation continued their support by co-funding Eat Up to supply 17 schools in Goulburn and Orange.
