WEAVE FOUNDATION
Weave began in 1976, when a group of local Aboriginal women in Redfern/ Waterloo advocated for support and services for local young people. The organisation provides support for children, young people and families who face challenges such as poverty, homelessness, and discrimination. Holistic support is provided for young people impacted by mental health, drug and alcohol issues, domestic violence and abuse. In 2025, The Blackwood Foundation co-funded the organisation. Funding was directed towards the organisation’s youth camps. These include their Saltwater Dreaming Indigenous surf camps, and their transition to high school camps.
