Top Blokes Foundation

The Founder and Managing Director of Top Blokes, Melissa Abu-Gazaleh, established the foundation in 2006. It is a preventative evidence-based group mentoring program, aimed at the improvement of youth health and well-being.  The Blackwood Foundation has been involved with Top Blokes since 2016 in the co-funding of a Social Impact Report over three years.  In 2019 the report concluded that young male wellbeing outcomes are four times stronger with the effective mentoring provided by the Top Blokes Foundation.  As a result of the findings, The Blackwood Foundation co-funded the Stepping Up Program, in an Illawarra primary school.

In 2022 The Blackwood Foundation funded a Junior Top Blokes Mentoring Program in Dapto High School in the Wollongong region.

In 2024, The Blackwood Foundation continued their support by co-funding all the high schools, and all but one of the primary schools, in the Cessnock area. Funding covered Top Blokes programs, more staff, and a Graduate Club.
