Australian Schools Plus

ASP established in 2013 to facilitate donor support for students in disadvantaged schools. Eligible schools are those with a value below 1000 on the Index of Community Socio-Educational Advantage. Australian School’s Plus co-ordinated the funding from The Blackwood Foundation of thirteen teachers from the Upper Hunter area to attend the 2019 Positive Education in School’s Association Conference. In 2020 The Foundation donated funds into ASP’s Crisis Appeal. The Crisis Appeal was set up in 2020 in reaction to the devastating effect on disadvantaged schools due to bushfires and COVID-19. The Blackwood Foundation continued their support of Schools Plus in 2021 by funding their Smart Giving Program. The program supports schools in the area of project design, implementation and evaluation.  www.schoolsplus.org.au
